22.Did you experience an object that helped you think out of the box? Which pushed you to discover a mind’s elasticity?
probably the biggest cliché but books, especially when I started
reading myself -which was a big feat, I’m rather dyslectic- a whole new world
opened
different ideas, different approaches; books made me think, made
me consider & definitely made me think out of the box

20.Did you ever see a thing/object in distant past, but never again? The type of thing of which you only have a fading memory so fleeting that sometimes you question yourself if it was a real thing in first place or just a figment of your imagination?
a small golden hand that looked as an octopus, covered with some
sheepskin & bound by a red string
(my aunty had it in her boudoir, I think it has to do with Jacob
& Abraham in the Thora)

16.Did you ever encounter an object that proved to be the only barrier between you and death? Or between your current existence and some other level of existence?
I will not explain, I do not want to get jinxed,
it is a simple, white plastic shopping bag,
one of this you get on the market when you buy vegs

15.Do you have a disobedient object in your environment?
(this is the weirdest knife on my desk, I got it from a friend,
but I have no use for it, actually I do not know how to use it, I cut myself several
times with it, it looks so innocent but it is razor-sharp, I whisper, I think
it can hear me)

12.If you were to start a personal museum or collection, what would it contain?
it most likely already exist somewhere,
I cannot be the only one, loving scissors
they are so animated,
they look like birds with gigantic beaks
& of course they are extremely versatile instruments,
but that goes almost without saying (right?!)

10.Any man-made object that was designed so well that it had the sensitivity, balance, proportions, function or the poise of a living being?
beach combing comes naturally & gives great satisfaction, I
like most things but I only bring home ropes & nets, or, well, pieces of
ropes & nets, they wash up on the beach, transformed by the sea, their
function & edge gone, they are like little animals from an unknown, but
familiar group of fauna

7.Did you ever raise or grow any object?
when my father died I got his wedding ring
when my great uncle died I got his family ring
(my mother’s family)
my jeweller friend made them into one ring
when I showed my mom the ring she cried
it was the first & last time I saw her cry
I wear the ring every day

5.An object that has a hidden past that you have always been curious about?
these are my father’s younger brother’s shoes
they are small, one fits easily in my hand
brown patent leather with different strings
they tell a story of escape, of longing, of missing & of
brotherly love
but still, I do not know my uncle
