Some Jurassic Fossils perhaps. Ammonoids, they call them. Extinct marine mollusks. Lived 66 million years ago. Dug them myself off the coast of Dorset in England.

The sweater made by Grandma Bertie for my other Grandma Evie with buttons made of antlers made by my Grandpa Ernie. I don’t even think of this as an object, it is to me both alive and magical, a material link to each stitch that was made by my paternal grandma for my maternal grandma to wear. I feel honored to be in relationship with it. I wear it when I want to feel especially cozy. My mother gave it to me not long after she inherited it

Not many people use these tea seeping spoons anymore. I found this at a flea market and bargained it down to a dollar.

Yes, a specimen of a kingfisher, its feathers are used to make Tian-tsui,For 2,000 years, the Chinese have been using the iridescent blue feathers of kingfisher birds as an inlay for fine art objects and adornment, from hairpins, headdresses, and fans to panels and screens. While Western art collectors have focused on other areas of Chinese art including porcelain, lacquer ware, sculpture, cloisonné, silk and paintings, kingfisher art is relatively unknown outside of China.

Glass muffin.
I bought this when I where in Prague 2017, visiting a friend in her art/designers collab-shop. I like the concept of more permanent materials in relation to non-permanent ones.

Growing up in a rural area also means that property is given on to futures generation. One object that I found the most astonishing are tedders, that my grandfather has used when working on the fields. Even if this object seems just like two wheels that stick together, the underlying story of the object and its use are directly related to my family’s history.
